How to start a crew in RunPack and invite your friends

Step by step: create a private running crew in RunPack, send the invite link or code, and what your friends see before they join.

A RunPack crew is a private group for you and your running friends. Everyone’s shared runs land in one feed only the crew can see, and each morning the crew gets a short card about who’s fresh. Here’s how to set one up.

Create the crew

  1. Install RunPack from the App Store and open the Crews tab.
  2. Sign in with Apple or Google. Crews need an account so your friends’ phones can find yours; everything else in RunPack works without one.
  3. Tap +, then New crew. Give it a name (stuck? try our running crew name ideas) and pick the name your friends will see for you.
  4. Read what the crew will see, then tap Agree and create.

Invite your friends

Open the crew and tap Invite friends. RunPack shares a link like getrunpack.com/join/ABCD1234 through Messages, WhatsApp or anything else on your phone. If your friend has RunPack, the link opens the app straight to the join screen. If not, the page points them to the App Store, and they can enter the code afterwards under Crews → + → Join with a code.

What friends see before they join

Before anyone joins, RunPack shows them exactly what the crew will see: the runs they choose to share, and coarse readiness bands like “High” or “Moderate”. Never their exact score, heart rate variability, resting heart rate or email address.

How big can a crew be?

Free crews hold up to 4 people. If the crew owner has RunPack Plus, the crew can grow to 30 and gets route maps, photos, crew goals and full history. You can be in up to 5 crews.

Keeping it friendly

Anyone can report a run or photo, or block a member, from the feed. Blocking hides each of you from the other in every crew, and reports are reviewed within 24 hours.
