About RunPack
RunPack is an iPhone app for running with friends: record your runs, share them with your crew, and know how hard to go each morning.
What RunPack is
RunPack (sometimes written “Run Pack”) is a run tracker built around a crew — the handful of people you actually run with. Record runs with your iPhone’s GPS, or keep using the watch you already have, and every run lands in a feed only your crew can see. Each morning a 10-second check-in, or a recovery score from your watch or ring, tells you whether to push or take it easy.
It’s on the App Store as RunPack: Train with Friends, for iPhone and Apple Watch. It’s free for crews of up to four; RunPack Plus is paid by one person and covers a crew of up to thirty.
Why it exists
Most running apps are built for an audience: followers, public profiles, leaderboards. Plenty of runners only want to keep up with a few friends — and shouldn’t have to post their routes, which usually start at home, to the whole internet to do it. RunPack is the private version: your crew, and nobody else.
How it’s built
- Your health data stays on your phone. Raw Apple Health records never leave it. Friends see coarse bands like “recovery low”, never your numbers.
- Runs are shared only by your choice, and never include heart rate. Photos have their location data removed on your phone before upload.
- No ads, no tracking, no analytics SDKs. RunPack makes money from RunPack Plus, not from your data.
- AI only with your consent. The crew’s morning card is written by Google Gemini only about members who agreed — and never on a free tier that trains on what it’s sent.
- No wagering, prizes or contests. Crew goals are about showing up together.
