How to plan a group run in RunPack (and see who’s in)
Post a time and place for your running crew, let everyone tap I’m in or Can’t make it, and get a reminder an hour before. Free for every crew.
Group chats are where group runs go to die: a time gets suggested, three people react, and nobody knows who’s actually coming. RunPack 1.1 adds group runs to every crew, free.
Post a group run
- Open your crew in the Crews tab.
- Under Group runs, tap Plan one.
- Pick the day and time, say where you’re meeting (“Park main gate”), and add a distance or a short note if you like.
- Tap Post. Everyone in the crew gets a notification.
Who’s in
Each group run shows I’m in and Can’t make it, and the names of everyone who’s coming. You’re marked as going on runs you post. About an hour before the start, everyone who said they’re in gets a reminder with the time and place.
Plans change
Whoever posted the run, or the crew’s owner, can cancel it. It stays on the list marked cancelled, and everyone who was coming gets a notification so nobody waits at the gate alone.
Bring new people in
Meeting someone at the start? Open the crew and tap QR: they point their iPhone camera at it and land on the crew’s join page. You can also invite from Contacts, which opens Messages with the link already written. Free crews hold up to 8 people; with RunPack Plus, one person covers a crew of up to 30.
Safe by design
Group runs are visible only to your crew. Anyone can report a group run, and blocking someone hides their group runs from you and yours from them. See how to lead a group run for tips on the run itself.
